It’s 2017! New Year, New Adventures

Hey everyone,

Happy New Year to you all.

How are you doing? It’s here then, 2017. Did you party like it was 1999? Did you give a little midnight shimmy? How about a midnight kiss? Ooh cheeky.

2016 was a great year for House of Trixie Blue and that is because of all our fabulous students, audience members, supporters and HOTB crew. Thank you all for contributing to a successful and super fun year.

In 2016 we made a few exciting New Years Resolutions (aka adventures, we call them adventures), the question is folks, did we meet the deadline? You be the judge…click here to read our 2016 New Years Adventures. We would love to hear yours and your friends thoughts, so please have a cheeky look, share and get  in touch via our Facebook page. Your feedback is super important to us.

Ah 2017…

We love the idea of a fresh start each New Year to recharge and polish our sparkle. With our sparkle well and truly polished, we are ready to unveil our brand new 2017 New Years Adventures.  This year, we need you.

1 – To fund raise and support our chosen 2017 charity – Against Breast Cancer

Each year, House of Trixie Blue chooses a charity to support, raise awareness and money for. In the past, our Principal Enchantress, Trixie Blue, has run the Great North Run in aid of St Oswald’s and Scope/Neil Blenkinsop Foundation.

This year we will be supporting- Against Breast Cancer

Against Breast Cancer is a registered charity in England and Wales. Registered Charity No. 1121258

Against Breast Cancer is the story of the personal crusade of our founders Dr Anthony Leathem and his wife Patricia in their quest for a future free of breast cancer.

Today, Against Breast Cancer funds pioneering research into new treatments, tools for earlier diagnosis and advice to reduce the risk of recurrence and secondary spread. Working with expert scientists we want to increase the survival rates of all breast cancer patients and ultimately, discover a vaccine against breast cancer.

Throughout 2017 we will be supporting Against Breast cancer in a variety of ways. To find out how you can join in, keep reading.

2 – Offer further platforms for up and coming/established performers within the North East.

We really believe in nurturing new and up coming talent and feel burlesque should be embraced by all who want to revel in its beautiful charms.  We have teamed up with local business, Prohibition Cabaret Bar to offer this very platform (we love Prohibition Cabaret Bar, check them out on Facebook). Keep your eyes peeled for these exciting opportunities and further information.

3– Plan further and exciting social events through Blinks: The North East Burlesque Hub

After a successful first year of Blinks (what is Blinks?), we are planning further social events with likeminded burlesque enthusiasts for 2017. We feel that the North East boasts an amazing burlesque scene and that we should create as much fun, frolics and banter for the scene as possible.

Blinks is also on the Web & Facebook, come and join in the conversation and make some fabulously sparkly friends on the way.

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen, our 2017 New Years Adventures. Can you see why we need you now? PHEW!

We would absolutely love it if you wanted to join in with any of the above. Keep an eye out on our website, Facebook page & sparkly e-newsletter (Sign up today and grab a FREE e-book too 3 Top Tips to Stage/Self Confidence – here) and our dedicated hashtag #blueadventures to find out more of how to get involved.

A huge Happy New Year to you all and roll on the New Year Adventures.
